Must Have | Sandals

Scarpe, scarpe e ancora scarpe. Sono una vera ossessione per me, ormai! 

E mentre chi mi segue su Instagram (@cm_cestlavie) vede di giorno in giorno un'anticipazione delle calzature che ho ordinato online per il mio compleanno, sul blog posto le foto di uno dei must di questa estate: i sandali, soprattutto quelli senza plateau e un cinturino alla caviglia. Eccone alcuni esempi:

On Instagram (@cm_cestlavie) I'm showing, day after day, my new shoes bought online for my birthday, but today I want post on the blog the pics of a Summer must have: sandals. I prefer the ones without plateau and with ankle strap. Here is some examples:

CM | A dress for my teacher

Sì, il titolo dice tutto! Ormai anche gli insegnanti mi chiedono di disegnare loro qualche abito. E se da una parte questo mi imbarazza molto, dall'altra mi rende felice perchè mi sento apprezzata! (:
La mia professoressa mi ha chiesto un abito non troppo giovanile che rispettasse queste caratteristiche:
- Non corto;
- Che non mettesse in risalto il punto vita;
- Di un colore scuro ad eccezione del nero;
- Non troppo scollato, ma neanche a collo alto;
- Adatto per l'inverno;

All'inizio ero un po' scettica a causa di tutti questi dettagli, ma alla fine hanno iniziato a balenarmi in testa un sacco di idee interessanti e... voilà, ecco l'abito perfetto: blu, lungo fino alla caviglia e con una serie di drappeggi morbidi nella parte superiore! (:


Yeah, the title is right! Teachers ask me to design some dresses for them. This embarrasses me a lot, but I'm also happy and feel appreciated! (: 
My teacher asked me a dress that has these characteristics:
- Not short;
- Not tight at the waist;
- Dark colors except the black;
- Not low-cut and not high-necked;
- Suitable for winter.

At first, I was a bit skeptical because of all these details, but in the end I had a lot of interesting ideas and... voilà, here is the perfect dress: blue, long to the ankle and with soft draping at the top! (:

DIY | From pants to shorts

Mia sorella voleva buttare via un paio di leggins nuovi perchè le si erano bucati nella parte inferiore. Per evitare questo spreco, ho deciso di prenderli io e di trasformarli in comodi shorts.
Come capite benissimo anche voi, questo sarà un tutorial facilissimo che non richiederà niente al di fuori di un paio di forbici e qualche spillo.

My sister wanted to throw away a pair of new pants because she broke them at the bottom. To avoid this waste, I chose to make them in shorts.
As you can see, this is a simple tutorial, so all you need is scissors and some pins.

Possiamo utilizzare due metodi per tagliare i nostri shorts:
1. Indossate i leggins e con uno spillo segnate il punto in cui volete tagliarli;
2. Appoggiate sui leggins un paio di shorts e utilizzateli per prendere le misure.
ATTENZIONE! Ricordati di tagliare la parte posteriore degli shorts di un cm più lunga rispetto alla parte anteriore.

You can use two methods to make your shorts:
1. Wear the pants and mark where to cut with a pin;
2. Lay the shorts over the pants and take the measures. ATTENTION! Remind to cut the back of the shorts longer than the front.

Detto questo, potete rifinirli con la macchina da cucire oppure arrotolare la parte inferiore come ho fatto io. Vi ricordo inoltre di non buttare i pezzi che avete tolto, soprattutto se i leggins hanno una stampa particolare: potrete riutilizzarli in futuro come decorazione.

Now, you can use the sewing machine to finish your work or roll up the bottom like I did. I also remind you do not throw away the pieces that you've removed: you can use them in the future as a decoration.

Mi sono completamente innamorata di abiti e accessori iridescenti! *____* Mi fanno pensare un sacco agli anni '90, ma al tempo stesso posso essere davvero minimal.

I'm totally in love with iridescent clothes and accessories! *____* They remind me the '90s, but at the same time they can be very minimal.

 

Fashion News | Punk: Chaos to Couture

Il MET Gala di quest'anno è stato un successo, così come si preannuncia la mostra organizzata al Metropolitan Museum che sarà aperta fino al 14 Agosto.

La mostra si snoda in sette gallerie, in una delle quali sono stati ricreati i famosi gabinetti del club CBGBs e la boutique fondata negli anni '70 da Vivienne Westwood e Malcom McLaren.

Tra i designers selezionati, spiccano gli abiti di Dior, Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Zandra Rhodes, Rei Kawakubo, e Stephen Sprouse.

MET Gala was a success as well as the show organized by Metropolitan Museum which will be open until August 14.

The show is divided into 7 galleries, in which are included the re-creation of the toilet of the CBGBs club and the boutique created by Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren in the ‘70s.

Designers in the exhibition include Dior, Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Moschino, Zandra Rhodes, Rei Kawakubo, and Stephen Sprouse.

Shows | Pre-Collezioni S/S 2014: Chanel

Della nuova collezione firmata Chanel (la cui sfilata quest'anno si è svolta a Singapore), ho apprezzato in particolar modo il contrasto tra le giacche, dalle linee geometriche e un po' biker, con le stampe etniche di pantaloni e bluse. Inoltre, sono stata felicissima di rivedere le iconiche cap toe, uno dei simboli della maison, nei loro colori originali: bianco e nero.

Of the new collection signed by Chanel (this year, the show took place in Singapore), I liked more the mix of the jackets, a little biker with geometric lines, and the ethnic prints of pants and blouses. I'm so happy to see again the cap toe, one of the simbol of the maison, in their original colors: white and black.
